Sharing Our Seacret: Seaweed Skin Benefits In Our Seaweed Baths

Fucus (Bladderwrack): is rich in iodine, which can help regulate thyroid function, potentially aiding the metabolism and energy levels. It also contains fucoidan, a type of complex carbohydrate that has anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and anticancer properties. Topically, its antioxidants can help protect the skin from environmental damage, and its anti-inflammatory properties can help reduce redness and irritation.

Macrocystis (Giant Kelp): Giant kelp is a rich source of vitamins A, C, E, and K, as well as minerals like potassium, zinc, and magnesium. These can help nourish and hydrate the skin, promote skin cell renewal, and improve skin elasticity, potentially reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Nereocystis (Bull Kelp): Bull kelp contains high levels of iodine and alginic acid. The iodine can support thyroid health, while alginic acid can help detoxify the body by binding with heavy metals in the digestive tract, leading them to be excreted. Topically, bull kelp can help to hydrate, soothe, and detoxify the skin.

Mazzaella: As we discussed earlier, Mazzaella can help diminish the appearance of dark spots, manage inflammation, and cleanse pores, aiding to a clearer, brighter complexion.

Ulva Lactuca (Sea Lettuce): Sea lettuce contains various vitamins and minerals, including Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and iron. These nutrients can help boost the immune system and promote skin health. Topically, it can help to moisturize and renew the skin.

A weird product that you will fall in love with. I am very active all day, so when I tried this seaweed bath, I was happy to find how relaxing and rejuvenating it was. There is a thick ‘goop’ that comes out of the hemp bag from all the seaweed, but it smells so good that it wasn’t gross. Left my skin as smooth and soft as a new born baby!

This is seaweed bath is the best I have ever tried because you get So Much out of one bag! Chantelle told me to dispose of the seaweed and hemp bag in my garden bed and my plants are very pleased with that, because where I buried the seaweed bags in the summer the plants were bigger and fuller than the others by fall. My health and my garden both benefiting from one Seaflora product – who knew?!
